Hi, I'm Alyssa.

Founder and designer of Jordan Stone Interiors, based in Magnolia, Texas.

Why I design homes

For years, my career was in human resources, most recently as an HR director. While I was working full-time, I bought my very first house of my own and hired an interior designer to help me make it feel like home. Almost everyone I knew asked the same thing: "Why would you hire a designer? You have such an eye for this. You could do it yourself."

That question stayed with me. This year, I stepped away from HR to take some time for myself and think about what I wanted the next chapter of my career to be. The answer kept coming back to homes: how they look, how they work, and how much better an ordinary day feels in a room that's truly yours. So I started Jordan Stone Interiors.

I didn't come to design through a classroom. I came to it through a natural eye and a career built on listening closely, managing people and timelines, keeping a lot of moving pieces organized, and handling personal matters with discretion. Those are exactly the skills that make a design project feel calm instead of chaotic, and I bring every one of them into your home.

I live in Magnolia with my husband, our two youngest daughters, and our three dogs: two long-haired dachshunds and a miniature goldendoodle. Together we're a blended family of four kids, so yes, I design for real life, from busy mornings to muddy paws. My hope is to build a business our kids might one day join me in, if they choose to.

I love designing for families across Magnolia, The Woodlands, Tomball, Montgomery, Spring, and the rest of north Houston, people who want their homes to feel personal and grounded, not like a showroom.

What you can expect from me

I listen before I design. Years in HR taught me that the best results start with really hearing people. Your home should reflect your life, not my portfolio.

I keep things clear and organized. You'll always know what's happening, what's next, and what it costs. Timelines, orders, and deliveries are my job, not yours.

I sweat the details. Scale, lighting, the height of a picture hanging over the sofa. The small things are what make a room feel right.

I respect your home and your privacy. Discretion was part of my job for years, and it still is.

I keep my client list small. As a boutique studio, I work with a limited number of clients at a time, so your project gets my full attention.

My design point of view

I'm drawn to natural materials, layered textures, and timeless forms: warm wood, honed stone, linen and wool, soft light. I like rooms that feel calm but not cold, collected but not cluttered. Most of all, I design for real life, because the most beautiful room in the world isn't working if no one wants to sit in it.

Let's make your home my next favorite project.
